The Marketplace the brain child of Luigi Pezutto, Head of Post Logistics International at Swiss Post enables small to medium enterprises to work together to leverage the power of their Swiss heritage with the underlying support of an international post & logistics partner to manage the cross border into China.
Developed using the Chinese RenRen platform that integrates seamlessly with Wechat the dominant social media platform in China; the SwissPost marketplace offers brands both a cross border ecommerce platform with which to sell directly to Chinese consumers coupled with a range of marketing packages to help promote their products in market.
In addition to introducing Swiss products to the consumers the marketplace features an “affiliate program” that allows KOL’s (Key Opinion Leaders), distributors and resellers to promote Swiss products from the marketplace directly to their followers thus building early brand interest and trial.

Demand and interest in Switzerland from companies about the China market is strong and growing with SwissPost actively signing new brands to the platform each month.
The Marketplace is optimised to the mobile and is available via both the Wechat & standard browsers. The promotional program features campaigns using an integrated approach with KOL’s, SEM, Wechat, Weibo & Little Red Book promotions.
